This place is amazing! Variable cabins to fit everyone's needs right on the water. Close enough to town to make a quick trip a real treat and close to some more secluded lakes if that's what you're looking for! Definitely recommend for fisherman and families.
Great spot up north. Had a great time and will be back.
We have been coming here for four years now. It is absolutely beautiful. The cabins are very clean and the owner is very pleasant. The lake and wildlife are awesome. Will continue to enjoy time here for many years.
I've been going to Jackson's for years with my buddies and, prior to that, decades with my parents. This place is great. The lodge is welcoming, the cabins and comfy and very well kept, and the ownership is top-notch and great people. I wouldn't go anywhere else. If you're looking for the Northwoods experience, Jackson's is the place you want to be. Can't beat the lake for recreational and sportsman activities. Highly recommended.
We've been going there for years. Beautiful cabins right on a great lake. Owners are wonderful and very accommodating. Highly recommend
Our family had a wonderful vacation at Jackson's, and we hope to return next year. CABINS: There are three generations of cabins, and my family rented one from each. We stayed in Hammond (the newest), Memories, and Idle Hour (the oldest). The kitchens are fully stocked with a skillet, sauce pans, sheet pans, can opener, eating and serving utensils, plates, bowls, mugs, drinking glasses, ice trays, cutting boards, and knives. For appliances, there is a propane gas stove, full-sized refrigerator, toaster, and coffee pot with filters. The Hammond has a dishwasher. We brought our own bed linens, towels, toilet paper, hand soap, and dish soap. Each cabin has a lovely screened-in porch. They also come with a charcoal Weber grill and picnic tables. Overall, I am very pleased with the cabins. My only suggestion for improvement would be for the resort to increase the lighting in Idle Hour. The lighting is very dark inside, and some extra lamps would help to brighten the rooms. The other cabins did not have an issue with lighting. PROPERTY: The resort has two fire pits - one by the lake and one at the back of the cabins. The firewood is provided. The fire pit near the lake is my favorite place on the property! The fire pit is surrounded by very comfortable seating, and there are outlets nearby if needed. The resort also has a playground and a large field where deer gather at dusk every evening. Boats are available for rent, and the Jacksons also provide life vests and pool noodles (free of charge!) in the shed near the lake. Overall, the property is lovely. The many trees are great for hanging camping hammocks. The path down to the lake is too steep for my grandma to walk, but luckily, there is a dirt road that leds directly to the fire pit and piers. CELL RECEPTION AND WIFI: We had some trouble getting cell phone reception. The nearest cell tower is AT&T. The Jackson’s Lodge has WiFi which reaches (weakly) to the Hammond. PETS: The resort is dog-friendly. There are some friendly dogs that live on the resort that happily roam around during the day. OTHER: We love that the resort is near Eagle River, where we enjoy gift shopping. There is also a nearby Sentry Foods grocery store in St. Germain. CONCLUSION: We loved our vacation at Jackson’s and would highly recommend it as a family-friendly vacation spot.
Ken, Tom, and family continue the great traditions set by their parents and grandparents. If you say there are better people in the world, than toe the line!
When you think the fishing is good, the staff here is even better.
